Superintendents

Mr. Knapp has been with OSI since 1988. He has worked his way up and been promoted from within. He is an expert in our field and highly regarded by out clientele. He has received formal safety training from Coastal Comp Corporation, The Houston Area AGC and Safety Council as well as Briggs Equipment and Tool and Fastener Corporation. He holds a 30-Hour OSHA certificate. His knowledge of construction, dedication to safety and personable attitude make Don well received by customers, employees and a truly valuable asset to OSI.

Mr. Gonzales has been employed by OSI since 1984. He is a true expert in commercial construction and probably our most talented superintendent when it comes to difficult architectural details. He has overseen the construction of hundreds of projects for OSI and is trusted to perform on all types of projects. Some of his recent accomplishments include both Bayshore and Heritage Elementary Schools for LaPorte ISD (they liked Richard and OSI so much, we were invited back to build the second one), Predator Operations for US Airforce, Oceaneering Offices, several new Ashley Furniture Stores and many, many other projects.

Mr. Haithcoat is yet another longtime employee of OSI, since 1994. His dedication and hard work have enabled him to work his way up and become one of our top superintendents in the company today. He is the epitome of an OSI Superintendent, never failing to deliver the necessary services to ensure success. He currently holds down the position as lead-superintendent at our Hewlett-Packard office. This is no small accomplishment as he oversees a high volume of work on HP’s main campus.

Mr. Leal is another of our Finish Superintendents. He has been here with OSI since 2006 and worked in construction since 1984. Joe spent a good deal of his construction training time in the 1980’s, 90’s and 2000’s here at OSI working as a finisher and painter. He is an experienced veteran in all aspects of interior finish and paint work. Joe takes care of several of OSI’s key customer accounts including Barnier Building Systems and Baker Hughes, among many others.

As another one of our superintendents who worked his way up from the ranks, Gilbert is not new to OSI. He has been employed here since 1996. Through hard work and dedication he was promoted to superintendent in 2002, something he and OSI are very proud of. Gilbert’s skills will become quite apparent when he works on your project. His quiet but efficient manner makes him a customer favorite. Gilbert also is willing to travel if the company has a need for such. Some of his recent projects include: Cynthia Woods Theater at U of H, Nissan’s N. American HQ’s in Tennessee, Finger Furniture Distribution Facility, Amegy Bank’s Apollo Project in Dallas, and many, many others.

Another of our highly versatile superintendents, James has been here at OSI since 1997. He has successfully performed work for OSI on projects all over Houston, including retail, office space and more recently in the Medical Center and Texas A&M. James has also performed out of town for OSI as far away as Hawaii, New York and even inside the Pentagon. James is another in our long line of ‘can do’ employees and we entrust him time and again as he always delivers.
